Review of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017) by Alex P — 10 Jul 2017
This movie would've been a whopping 5 stars if it hadn't been for Starlord's insane father. He wasn't a very intriguing villain at all and didn't even have a sense of humor...and everyone knows an evil mastermind is what makes a movie great. The storyline, as seems to always be the case with sequels, was all over the place. There was a crazy assassin trying to kill her sister, Starlord's daddy drama, Quinn's issues with his gang, two new on-the-spot romances...kind of exhausting after the straightforward plot of the first movie.
But you can never go wrong with a snarky gun-toting raccoon, and it's good to know that 80s music is still in style. And there are some funny moments.
