Review of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017) by Ethan V — 09 Jul 2018

I'm among those with the unpopular opinion in that this film surpasses its predecessor. The first Guardians film was a very fun adventure that introduced us to great new characters. What a great sequel does best is expand on the world of the universe it's in, and expand on the characters.

This film does exactly that. This film introduces us to Peter's dad, Ego. With Ego's presence, the main theme of the film, family, can come to light. This was a great entry in the MCU, and the best sequel in the franchise since the Winter Soldier.
