Review of Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) by Charles D — 25 Apr 2018
The music stuff is annoyingly pandering sometimes, as is the shoving of the walkman down our throats. Yes, I remember the 80's & 90's, too. Overall, the movie was an acceptable superhero flick with a fresh premise, but the prison break scene was really hard to swallow in terms of disbelief, and ultimately I walked out after chris platt (spoiler warning) starts making out with the green chick, with whom he has zero on-screen chemistry with.
It felt so forced and unnecessary and weird. I just didn't care enough to go on. Not sure how the movie ends.
