There are very few movies that perfectly blends comedy, action, and wonder. As you watch the movie, you can be connected with the characters as they develop before your eyes. Each character, important or less, is developed with care and with the right pacing.
The comedy is well timed and easily understandable for most people. The universe is vast, but never overwhelming, allowing deep immersion. The tools, ships and beings can be connected to our world in a way that is both believable and imaginative.
Most of all, the sound track is on cue, setting mode perfectly to the scene it is partnered with. This movie is a prime example of a good summer blockbuster.
