Review of Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) by Spencer K — 02 Aug 2015

When I first heard that Marvel was doing a movie based on the Guardians Of The Galaxy I had a few questions. frankly, the biggest question was, who the hell are they? I certainly had my doubts, could this be Marvel's first flop? first really bad movie? nevertheless, I was in the theater opening day.

and wow, Marvel doesn't disappoint and I should never have doubted them. this is easily my second favorite Marvel film, it completely blew me away. I was skeptical, and my expectations were blown out of the water.

I loved this film. the acting is stellar, Chris Pratt comes into his own with this movie, and makes a name for himself with this. the characters are loveable and oddly enough I can resonate with all of them.

(even Groot) the directing is slick, stylish and professional, the writing is hilarious, quick, and witty and the visuals are absolutely stunning. this is what Marvel is all about and this is what Summer blockbusters are all about.

I absolutely adored this film and it was one of the very standout films of 2014 and one of my favorite comic books films to date.
