The guardians of the galaxy was made for one reason and that was so that when they end up bringing thanos in to the mix with avengers they an make a new best selling of which will be the movie when thanos raids earth for the three infinity stones on it one in hulk one in thor's hammer and one in vision so then star lord will come to the rescue of earth so they did not intend this movie to be an a rated movie they needed something to tie them together to make a best selling movie.
