Review of Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) by Andres M — 30 Jun 2015
Short Review:
All astonishing feature length introduction to a not so famous comic book team. The film is indeed an instant classic, and easily the best summer blockbuster yet. The film has a great mix of heart, comedy, edge, and action to keep everyone entertained. Marvel has never taken such a risk to make a film like this, making it at first seem like a dumb full-blown comedy made only for the die hard fans. Indeed they put their next step forward and surprised us all. The visual effect is spectacular and gorgeous to look at. The studio perfected the choice of the cast. Chris Pratt was born for the role of Peter Quill/Star-Lord. Zoe Saldana and Dave Bautista did great. Rocket Raccoon and Groot steals the show. Bradley Cooper as Rocket Raccoon scores with such great wit and humor. Vin Diesel as Groot was great and very clever, and will be a candidate for the most lovable sidekick of the decade. Guardians of the Galaxy is a fresh and spectacular start of a new franchise.
