Walther Matthau and Jack Lemon work perfectly together as a comic team in this movie. The dialouge and comic situations are a bit racy for them and older people in general, but thats what makes this movie work.
I'm thinkning Burgess Meredith can't be that much older then Lemmon, but it still doesn't keep him from almost stealing the whole movie. A little comic gem that walks right up the line, but doesn't cross it.
And that is fine.
