Matthau and Lemmon are fun -- true -- but this might be a perfect example of timid 1990s Hollywood. Dumbass screenplay straight from an off-brand can that doesn't allow for anything of substance to be planted as a seed much less grow into anything, and it's topped off by a recycled pile of giraffe shit musical score.
