Is it sad that while I was watching this, I felt like screaming at the seasoned comedians on screen why something wasn't funny? I did that a lot. This movie is the text book definition of a pointless movie. There is no plot. There is no real progression of anything: it is just some set pieces thrown together with our "comedians" saying dialogue or doing something that was supposed to be funny.

This film feels like a lot of things: for one, it feels Sandler and his friends wanted to go on vacation, but had to make a movie. So, they mixed the two by filming themselves on vacation. Meanwhile, they didn't really want to act, so they just kind of through together some dialogue together on the spot, got the camera ready and just did one or two takes.

Also, this movie REEKS of Sandler's need to be awesome. I mean, look at his character: he is a movie executive, who is married to Salma Hayek. That wouldn't be a problem, but he insists on trying to be the everyman. Sorry, Sandler, when you make a character like that he is automatically NOT an everyman,.

And I don't completely hate Sandler, he has produced a few good movies that I actually rather enjoy...however that was 10+ years ago. Yes, believe it or not, I actually rather like "50 First Dates" and "Waterboy." But these movies had at the very least a plot (sure, sometimes it was a stupid plot) or they were immensely charming, quotable and funny (Gater-aid...H2O!!!!).

This movie is just bad. It is boring. It is annoying. Only watch this if you have absolutely nothing to do, and even then only watch it when you can't possibly think of a better way to fill your time.

Also: Chris Rock insists that this movie is better than "The Artist" because "Grown Ups" made more money. If we judged the quality of movies based on how much money they made, then I guess Transformer's: Revenge of the Fallen was the Citizen Kane of our generation!!! Seriously, "The Artist" is a beautiful masterpiece...Grown Ups doesn't even deserved to be called a proper film.
