Review of Groundhog Day (1993) by Kevin S — 22 Feb 2013
Phil is a weatherman in Pittsburgh who is arrogant, bitter, uncaring, and mouthy who also treats his producer and even his cameraman like garbage. For the third year in a row he goes to Punxsutawney and gives coverage of groundhogs day.
He ends up going through the same day February 2nd again, and again, and again. He tries getting sent to jail and attempts suicide many times but to no avail he keeps getting up and it is groundhogs day again.
As he keeps reliving February 2nd he starts to care about people and even starts to fall in love with his producer Rita. I loved bill Murray in this movie. His dead pan humor is totally hilarious. He was really funny throughout the movie.
This had to be one of the better movies that came out in the 90's. totally funny and worth the time. Harold ramis who directed this did a Fabulous job on this movie.
