Review of Groundhog Day (1993) by Jacob C — 04 Mar 2014
Bill Murray's deadpan delivery shines in Groundhog Day, and for good reason. It makes the rather uninspiring plot watchable and very entertaining. The dramatic transformation of his character from selfish to selfless is reflected in the characters he interacts with every single day, while remaining comical throughout.
His constant desire to please his beloved is astonishing and charming. Groundhog Day is a timeless film that, despite its flaws, has become a cult classic.
