Review of Groundhog Day (1993) by Brandon W — 17 Aug 2015
Groundhog Day is one of the first repeating the same day movies, but is actually the most famous out of it until Edge of Tomorrow come out and is just as well known as this. I got a bit of doubt of this before watching it, which I didn't know why, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Bill Murray is very enjoyable in this and got a lot of laughs out of me. I was a bit worried at first about whenever or not the film is going to be repetitive and boring, but it never felt like it was that which I wanted to see where it's going.
The writing by Harold Ramis and Danny Rubin is really great that knows how to make a character cynical, but also know how to make a sweet film as a result. The chemistry is pretty good, and the characters are well done and three-dimensional.
There are a lot of jokes in it, and they were really funny. Groundhog Day is a classic movie that deserves the praise that it has got.
