It's full of the cliches, the ex-pro who's fallen off the band wagon, his old comrad who forces him back to the very nightmare he's been trying to escape from, the young smarmy arrogant hot-shot who learns to be a real person, a tight-ass bean counter worried about if it "looks good"...

I think the only redeeming feature about this film was Kristy Swanson. However, she was given a minor role, and made to look like a dork (all thanks to those glasses, should have gone to specsavers!). I don't even know why her part existed, as it served no purpose in the story, but I suppose some eye candy was useful to this film!

There were a numerous "miracles", like the 24/7 computer parts shop, which manages to have a replacement board for a computer built in 1734; and an aeroplane with an apparent auto-repair feature.

That said, it's a nice tribute to the air traffic controllers. I believe the job is very stressful, and if you had to deal with the stuff that went on in this film, you'd be stressed too!

All in all, you could spend your hour and half doing something better (like watching The Crow, The Labyrinth, or Battle Royal), but you could do plenty worse.
