Review of Grosse Pointe Blank (1997) by Tom M — 21 Jul 2010
John Cusack at his best playing a professional assassin returning to his home town for a high school reunion. The action is brutal, tough, sometimes funny but always satisfying. Also, the film lives up to it's 'Black Comedy' status with some very funny momments and great use of quick snappy, smart dialogue.
Dan Aykroyd is also great in this film, his little song at the end of the film had me in hysterics. Gross Point Blank is a cool and fresh look at the comedy/action genre, that fails to dissapoint.
