Review of Grosse Pointe Blank (1997) by Alvin Y — 05 May 2012
So what, if John Cusack is a hired killer and has a love interest to a woman from high school. So what, if this was just a complete fun and entertainig movie. I just really felt so much about Blank. The film depends on his physical characteristic but not on the plot.
I'm not sure on whether we suppose to let Blank kill some people for money. I also realize on the first half, the soundtrack enters with an incomplete setup, but don't worry, at the last half, it worked out.
I found the other supporting characters to be plastic or useless. It would have been better if the filmmakers focus on the other story instead of this confusing plot about CIAs, secret service, and some other bad guys.
if you want to enjoy this movie, just simply try what Martin Blank said, kill someone with a fork?!
