Review of Grizzly Man (2005) by Derek B — 23 May 2009

Although presented in a (mostly) detached way, there's little doubt in my mind that Timothy Treadwell was an unwell and seriously deluded man. That he had some sort of insight into that, and chose the way of life he did, does come across quite sympathetically.

.. and I guess it's every man's right to choose his preferred way of committing suicide. He did at least leave behind some quite beautiful images, but none of them match Herzog's own footage - though that's hardly surprising.

Thought-provoking, and well worth seeing.
