Review of Grizzly Man (2005) by James D — 06 Aug 2009
A good documentary that was not at all what I expected going into it. I've seen it twice now(or is that 2.5 times) and enjoyed it almost as much the second time. It's not like a lot of other documentaries where you feel smarter for watching it.
This movie is actually a bit depressing and you're not really better or worse off after watching it. Timothy Treadwell is an unforgettable character and almost unbelievable. It's easy to dismiss him as a total idiot but he did mean well.
His heart was in the right place but his brain was somewhere around Jupiter.
