Review of Grizzly Man (2005) by Suzannah F — 01 Jun 2010
Timothy Treadwell lived a dream that many people have had, to live in community with their favorite animal For me it would be to swim with Orcas, but for Timothy it was bears. Did he love bears, yes! Was he doing what was best for the bears, no! I can admire his devotion, but he was pretty much nuts and thought he was way more important to the bears then he was.
The film itself was good, although you could tell that some of the people being interview were being coached and were speaking from a script instead of just saying what they thought (the coroner was the biggest putz to do this, everything he said was hard to watch cause he was trying so hard yet sucking so bad).
The footage was great from Treadwell and I do love bears, but it is not surprising that he finally got what he wanted, he wanted to die with the bears, and he did.
