Review of Grizzly Man (2005) by Hassan V — 24 Jul 2012
Werner Herzog doesn't make documentaries that inform, he makes documentaries that manipulate, muse and create dimensions of his subjects that they probably wern't even aware of. With a haunting score and his dramatic voice Herzog takes us through the individual Timothy Treadwell, weaving from an internal portrait to an external one to create a vivid drawing of not just his work, but his fears, anxieties and confusion.
