Review of Grizzly Man (2005) by Jesse H — 02 Jul 2009
Timothy Treadwell, a bear enthusiast, environmentalist, naturalist, and documentary film maker. He will remain one of the world's best known, the infamous "Grizzly Man.".
There is really nothing more to say that already hasn't been said about Treadwell. As such, there isn't much that can be said about this movie, since it, for the most part, everything seen, heard, etc. is taken straight from the documentary films of Treadwell himself.
The story is one of tragedy, but is truley unbelievably hard to talk about. It tells the story of a man by the name of Timothy, a true story, that is told from the Grizzly Man's own point of view.
The presentation, like the story, is all stuff taken from documentary films, and cannot truly be criticized, since it was never intended to be made public like it has been.
It's in the execution where this movie simply doesn't score the highest it can. The choice of film segments used in the movie are definatly terrific. However, some just wearn't the best choices. Nevertheless, that is the truly the only "comlpaint," that I have with "Grizzly Man.".
