Death Proof, probably one of the best chase movies ever, delivers thrilling action and thrills, with all the gritty camera work and violence expected in and exploitation film. Planet Terror is a movie meant to be taken lightly, with it's ridiculously over the top, blood-soaked violence.
Both movies are delivered with intelligence and wit, while still delighting with gory effects. These were meant to be watched together. What do you expect? This is Grindhouse!
