So Tarantino and Rodriguez set out to pay homage to bad movies, and made two bad movies. Success! Tarantino, like Kevin Smith, is very over-rated, and could literally crap on film and people would watch it.
Not a complete waste of time, since it makes you appreciate good movies more.
