Review of Grindhouse (2007) by Chrisg. — 06 Apr 2007
This was extremely fun to see at a theatre. the only thing that keeps me from giving it a 10 is that "death proof" stays a little too long in the time between the initial setup and the climax.
there's a lot of good dialogue in this part, but just a little bit too much casual conversation without anything happening. however, "death proof" has such an awesome beginning and end that the slow middle is made up for.
"planet terror" never is as good as "death proof"s best moments, but is also never has a dull moment and will keep you entertained from beginning to end. overall this is something that has to be seen in a theatre.
im not sure if it will work as good on dvd, but I thought that about "kill bill", and it grew on me with every watch, so I may be wrong.
