Review of Grimsby (2016) by Ronda G — 12 Mar 2016

Rather than go into why I hate this movie so, I'm just going to describe some of the "jokes" and let it stand on that, OK?

* A disabled child of mixed Jewish and Palestinian parentage who contracted HIV is shot, and his blood splashes into Daniel Radcliffe's mouth. The joke is that he, "did to Harry Potter what Voldemort couldn't do in 8 movies.".

* Near the end, Radcliffe is shot and his blood goes into Donald Trump's mouth.

* SBC has to suck poison from a dart out of Mark Strong's scrotum, and at one point Strong decides he needs to be on top for this to work best. Insert too obvious joke here.

* They hide in an elephant's vagina, and then several male elephants proceed to do the obvious, with the joke being they have to get them off as fast as possible or they'll be there for hours.

* Rebel Wilson is SBC's girlfriend. Or if you prefer, I could just say Rebel Wilson is in the movie.

There, I think that should be sufficient. That said, some of the action bits are OK, and a few of the other jokes aren't bad, but simply put, nothing could help the film recover from that. All that does it keep it from being worse than Vacation or Hot Pursuit.
