Review of Grimsby (2016) by Movie M — 15 Jul 2016
After all the promos and trailers for this movie, it may look very unappealing and really stupid as a first impression. But after watching, "The Brothers Grimsby" surprises, and turns out to be a more humorous, enjoyable time than expected.
There may be some jokes that may take it too far however, so people that see this will either love it or hate it. Starring Sacha Baren Cohen, it's pretty obvious what type of humour you're getting yourself into, but there are some outrageous jokes that actually made me laugh out loud, which is something I don't usually do with movies.
As long as you realize that "The Brothers Grimsby" is just meant to be a silly, fun comedy, and is not meant to have an organized plot, or actually try to convince anyone that it's a deeper movie than expected, you will have a good time.
For the movie that "The Brothers Grimsby" tries to be, it does a pretty good job.
