Review of Grilled (2006) by Private U — 25 Jan 2008
So we are walking through Blockbuster and there seems to be nothing we haven't seen (this happens to me all the time) and there I see this movie with Ray Romano and Kevin James. Thinking that these guys are naturally funny people I decided to check it out, after all some unknown movies are hidden Jems, so rent away.
Now at first you might think that 2/5 is a bad score, but really it isn't. I really liked the movie, I liked the storyline, I liked the charactors, I liked it all very much. HOWEVER, it was disappointing how the whole thing was put together.
There were alot of scenes that didn't need to go in the movie, and I wonder if they only put them it to stretch out the time....after all it was only a very short hour and 20 mins. To me they could have cut out the first 45 mins.
..or condensed it at least and they would have had a great start to a movie, but by the end of the movie we found ourselves asking....wheres the rest?...what happened? That can't be all.....as the credits start to roll.
It almost felt like they ran out of money and wrapped it up fast, then threw in the crappy stupid-should-have-been-taken out scenes. Anyway all in all it had potential, and then it ended.
