Review of Griff the Invisible (2011) by Jessica F — 07 Aug 2012
Where to begin with this film?
This film tried way too hard to be quirky that it end up just being sad. I found myself in misery as Griff continuously make a fool of himself to everyone around him. Even the romance was hard to take serious, and I always enjoy two misfits of society falling in love but in this case it was just a no. It was painfully obvious that Griff's world was an illusion but to see the the terrible animated work of his "invisible and universe costume" was just bad. At least when we see that the truth of that the stuff doesn't work is a relief and slightly laughable for awhile until you realize how serious Griff believes it to work.
This film had no true ending plot, in my opinion. Griff continues his ways but this time has a girlfriend that's consider good for him but in my opinion bad.
She supports his strange behavior for her reasoning of not being the only freak among society is unsatisfying to me. I also wouldn't call this much of a romantic comedy more a drama romance.
