If the Rock wasn't in it I wouldn't have even bothered. I just can't help but love the guy. The plot is about as cliched and predictable as any sports film can be. I'd say some of the dialogue was sappy and unrealistic but if you see clips from the documentary this movie is based on the real people actually say the same lines almost word-for-word.
Overall, if you can stomach those things it's not half-bad.
