Review of Gridiron Gang (2006) by Christopher S — 09 Mar 2012
One of the better sports films I have seen in recent memory. The Rock does a great job as the coach, as does Xzibit. Very inspirational and goes to show that sports (especially football, but I am biased) can break down barriers and bring teamwork and camaraderie.
Sure, the overall acting left much to be desired and you knew the ending before you even saw the opening lines, but that does not matter much. Who cares if it was corny? I thought the directing could have been much stronger but overall, this film delivered its primary message.
