Review of Grey Gardens (2009) by Arctic . — 08 Jul 2009
I have seen this a long time ago and remember being fascinated about the subject matter and the observant, unintrusive style of documenting (I do not like Michael Moore as you might be able to deduce).
Personally, I do prefer singular stories of human interest instead of big scope documentaries babbling about the "world" in 90 minutes, they are usually to constructed and manipulative for me (the recent outpoor of green documentaries).
Very recommended, although I must say that one of their other documentaries (I think it is called Salesmen) is one of my favourites and even better than this one.
