Review of Grey Gardens (2009) by Trevor C — 28 Feb 2010
A fantastic documentary that doesn't need any narration to be able to tell what's happening. its like a Discovery Channel or Animal Planet show presenting the dysfunctional madness of this family duo and their habitat of a decaying house being eaten by raccoons and godknows what else.
the fact that they endlessly spend their time remembering the past that they had and could've had, and the fact that they argue about the littlest things, makes this documentary like a violent-less, yet still psychologically twisted, version of Texas Chainsaw Massacre - except it's real.
