If you were to imagine a Tennessee Williams play adapted for the screen by Edward Albee with sets by Edward Gorey, you might begin to get close to some idea of what this wonderful documentary is like. The Two Edies sing, dance, and scrap like the all round natural performers they are.

They also eat unspeakable things. Best bits: when Little Edie describes herself as a S-T-A-U-N-C-H woman, and when Big Edie dryly remarks "at least someone around here is doing what they actually want to do" as the cat urinates on her portrait.

I would like to move to the planet where Little Edie was the megastar she deserved to be. I love her. She's fun.
