Review of Gremlins 2: The New Batch (1990) by Patrick B — 19 Aug 2008
If you don't walk into this movie expecting Wild Strawberries, you'll have a hell of a time. It's like watching an hour and 45 minute Looney Tunes cartoon. It aspires to and achieves all the anarchy that Bugs and friends so often created.
It effectively plays with the conventions of cinema, often touches upon corporate satire, and contains has guest appearances by Hulk Hogan, Tony Randall, the original Gomez Adams, and several other oddly placed actors.
Throw in Phoebe Cates, and what more can you ask from a movie?
