Made in 1984,A Inventor buys his son a Mogwai For christmas....but there's a catch,it multiplies with water and if fed after midnight they turn into evil,mischievious Gremlins wqho end up tearing the sleepy little town a part.
I've always thought the best Christmas Movies are when Christmas is being ruined and I dont think its been better done than in this movie,what I love is you actually cheer the Gremlins on and welcome the Chaos,this to me is a very important Childhood film and will always have a special place for me,Its deffinetly Joe Dante's Finest Film and one of the best films of the 80s.
