Review of Gremlins (1984) by Colin F — 24 Dec 2010
I had forgotten how brilliant this film was. It is still fresh and so original. The Gremlins steal the show when they go on the rampage in a small American town causing complete havoc, in some parts it is quite funny I.
E â" The Gremlin Flashdance! Equally there are some scenes that are quite on the brink of disturbing, I always found the scene where the Gremlin murders the school teacher quite unsettling and when one of the Gremlins is in the Christmas Tree.
My favourite part though is where the Gremlins are Carol Singing and then send the grumpy old lady on the way on her stairlift which has been rigging to go fast and she crashes out the window (You would have to see it!!) A great film with brilliant special effects which still stand the test of time, destined to be a classic forever.
Gizzzzzzzzzzzmo!!!!!!!!!!!
