Review of Gremlins (1984) by Lucas B — 02 Jan 2013
Aged 12 this film scared the crap out of me. Rewatching 20 years later, I find it was a clever referential piece subverting a Capraesque small-town, with a neat message about consumerist America and the ultimate anti-Christmas speech by Phoebe Cates.
Worth the look back.
