Well not the Squid & the Whale or even close Ben Stiller (I think) is poorly cast as a self hating bore that can only find fault in things.
Greta Gerwig is great as his on again off again fling, romance or sex romp she has a zest for life and I guess that is why Roger Greenberg is attracted to her, would have liked to see more of Jennifer Jason Leigh always been one of my favs, now more that she doesnt have to get naked for almost every movie--people can take her more seriously, she co-wrote the story with Noah and the story is good just Stiller is misplaced here.
