Review of Greenberg (2010) by Pheasant W — 03 Jan 2011
Just simply did not like this one. Had some humor and I really did like the cynical, bluntness of the character. While not as severe, I also am very straight forward. But the timing felt off. All of a sudden him and Florence are making out.
Even though there seemed to be no flirting or even interest, just seemed odd and out of place. A bunch of random characters, a lot of assholes and just wierd events going on. THe back and forth with Greenberg and Florence was extremely frustrating to watch transpire.
Just get on it with it. Greenberg claimed to be so blunt, but still that relationship was clouded with confusion. It did remind me of how I do not want to behave in relationships and how I don't want to feel trapped.
Florence was mos def a reckless person and acted very blase about getting pregnant. I wish movies would talk about birth control more often, you almost NEVER see that. Definitely a different type of film, so kudos for that.
I just won't be seeing it again.
