Review of Greenberg (2010) by Kevin L — 29 Mar 2011
I'm not a big Ben Stiller, but it was good to see him in a serious role with comic subtext. Middle aged and having recently suffered from a nervous breakdown, Greenberg goes to visit his brothers house in L.
A. to try and do nothing. His neurosis raises it's head at every turn and he constantly has to deal with his feelings. This movie maybe considered part of the mumblcore movement that has been evolving in indies for the last few years and may not be for everyone.
You have to understand that there is no real plot to this movie, just the interaction of one person to his world. There is strong sexual content and drug use so note that. This movie receives my,"it's worth a look rating", remembering of course the type of movie it is.
