Review of Green Zone (2010) by Antony G — 16 Jan 2012
Basically looking at the validity of the US led second invasion of Iraq based on Saadam's WMD program. It's a slow burner with politics & red tape the order of the day for about two thirds of the movie but the final third the film finally kicks to life with plenty of action while chasing a target high in the deck of cards.
Matt Damon plays Roy Miller an Army Inspector looking for WMD's across Iraq but finds nothing & starts to question the Intel. He stumbles across a plot to keep quiet the fact that there was no WMD's & was basically a smoke screen to oust Saadam Hussein from power & to place a puppet leader of Iraq.
