Review of Green Zone (2010) by Tim G — 21 Nov 2010
I thought the movie was an action movie, but it turned out to be more of a political thriller, and a very good one at that. It starts with the search for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq during the second US-Iraq War, and from there expands more to the complex political situation in Iraq that eventually resulted in the problems the US finds itself now, and that is a long, guerilla type war being waged against forces inside Iraq against each other, and against the US.
As one of the characters in the movie said, there are no ideal scenarios in Iraq after the US occupation, only hard choices. The movie is highly recommended.
