Review of Green Zone (2010) by Steve B — 24 Jul 2011
A Matt Damon and Paul Greengrass combination can only mean one thing, action, perhaps. Maybe my first thoughts were that I'm going to see Damon, kick ass again, 'Bourne' style then realised it was a present day, desert warfare story so I watched it with an open mind.
Fast paced action and realism move the story along, no details left out in regards to how these soldiers operate. The whole story is a slant on what government bodies could be or are up to behind closed doors - heaven forbid! It's loud, dramatic, gritty and real enough.
Chases and shoot-outs in tight Baghdad streets and large scale locations adds to the excitiement. Got to pay attention to the plot though as it's quick, slick and can be a little complicated to certain people .
