Review of Green Zone (2010) by Mark F — 07 Aug 2011
It is neither a good nor a bad movie. It just does not live up to the standards of the director-actor combination. It still features the frenetic camera work but not enough of those superb close combat action sequences that we have come to see from Bourne films.
The story is very conventional and adds nothing new for audience who have heard or seen quite a few similar stories in recent times. So it doesn't work as a thriller as there is no gripping suspense scene after scene and neither there is a revelatory end.
The script does not provide enough room for Matt Damon to display his acting abilities. Despite all the negative points mentioned above, it is still well shot and does not bore you while you watch. But after that, you may not recommend the movie.
