Review of Green Street Hooligans (2005) by Private U — 15 Mar 2009
Football, a sport that the world holds dearly to their hearts. A sport that seems the whole world loves except America. What do we love most? Baseball! The film stars Elijah Wood who gets kicked out of Harvard and moves to England to see his sister.
While their he gets into a gang that represent their area of town. Soon he realizes that he is somebody in England and he really does not wish to return to the states.. The film shows how crazy people are about sports and how sometimes it is just fun to give a good beating.
While watching the film, I really started thinking why are we not into soccer/football more? In my opinion I rather watch that then baseball any day. I never heard of the film until yesterday and wow was I impressed.
One of the best films I have seen Elijah Wood in.
