Review of Green Street Hooligans (2005) by Terry E — 10 Jun 2011
I liked this violent, testerone-fueled movie about soccer (or football) hooliganism. Not sure I would've picked Frodo to play the lead, though. It's hard to look at someone like Elijah Wood and think he can become a total bad-a** and beat people down.
Not to mention I didn't really like the character he played at all. Most of the time he came across as whiny, clingy, and stupid, following Pete around and getting upset when he feels left out of their scraps, particularly when the GSE is going to the United away game.
But still, this movie is like "Fight Club" in the sense that it kind of riles you up.
