Foreword: I am a hardcore Green Lantern Fan. As for this movie, it could have been way better if it actually had anything to do with the Green Lantern canon. Awesome cast, pretty good animation, horrible adaptation of a story.
Two things come to mind as I watched the 30 minutes of the movie that I did watch, both happen to have been said by my Grandfather and some point or another: If it ain't broke don't fix it, and you can take a turd and throw the Green Lantern name on it and it's still a turd.
.. ok maybe that last one had a little added on to it, but seriously. This movie could have been alot better for everyone, non-fanboys included, if it would have been scripted by Geoff Johns and the rest of the DC Green Lantern Posse.
