Review of Green Lantern: First Flight (2009) by Nathan N — 29 Jul 2009
Well-directed, well-made, action-packed, and at times very funny. The only problem is they make almost too easy and conveinent that Green Lantern (Christopher Meloni) can suddenly learn all these things the other Lanterns know or already have learned.
Victor Garber is terrific as the sinister Sinestro and the storyline is like "Star Wars" meets "Training Day." Warner Bros. has another animated hit on their hands and it only gets me excited to see Ryan Reynolds in Martin Cambell's 2011 live-action movie.
*Crosses fingers they'll cast either Jason Isaacs, Hugo Weaving, or Geoffrey Rush as Sinestro.*.
