Green Lantern is not as bad as everyone's been saying or the T-Meter would lead you to believe. In fact, while you're int the theater it's really not too shabby at all. Ryan Reynolds fails to encapsilate that Hal Jordan cool, but he does a pretty good job being a watchable Ryan Reynolds and the movie's effects and CG along with it's action sequences are pretty good.

Unfortunately, the film fails to hold up once you leave the theater. So much stuff is thrown up on the screen, so fast that nothing is really given time to sink in and take hold to the point where I found myself thinking on the way to my car, what were the memorable scenes from the movie again? It's literally not just action overload, it's lore overload, character overload and plot overload (not in a good way).

They just tried to do so much with this film that they ended up doing nothing. Even the post-credits scene fails to have the impact it should because there just wasn't enough time spent setting any of it up.

While I was in the theater 70%, after I left it and started thinking about it 10% so an overall rating of 40%.
