Review of Green Lantern (2011) by Mayank A — 28 Apr 2018

This is my second watch of the movie after 5 years. I had forgotten much of the story and remember it to be terrible, still gave it a shot as my nephew wanted to see it and I wanted to see how Ryan Reynolds screwed up (now that I know him from Dead Poll). I was surprised to realize I was actually enjoying the movie now that I know of his wacky & dazzling humor, I can see the foundation of Dead Pool out here. I do agree the CGI is bad, the villain is inconsistent with his power and the climax was stupid but still the first half the movie is enjoyable.

Earlier my review was - Well didn't expect much from the movie so was able to survive watching it till the end. It doesn't have much of a story. The struggle with the enemy is very brief so even the action sucks. The acting, directing and music are also mediocre, must be the worst Super Hero flick around.
